Goldonna News: May 18, 2022

The sizzling summer season is right around the corner and the community is preparing for a hot one!

The Village of Goldonna has announced a special called meeting that will take place on Friday, May 20th at 6:00 pm. The agenda item will be “Encroachment of Right of Ways.” There seems to be many questions plaguing the community which was just made aware of an eighty-foot encroachment issue that has not been being enforced. Residents are encouraged to attend to have all of their questions answered.

The Goldonna Baptist Church will be having a Senior Recognition program on Sunday, May 22nd. The church is also collecting items to participate in the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child. The items they are collecting for the month of May will be small toys, balls, and instruments.

Wednesday night, May 18th, Kingdom Kids will have a grilled burger dinner celebrating the completed year. The dinner is for parents, kids and workers. Dinner bell rings at 6:00 pm. Do not be late! Vacation Bible School will be held every Wednesday night in August at 6:00 pm.

Goldonna Assembly of God is offering Tuesday night Bible Study in a relaxed atmosphere at their fellowship hall. It begins at 6:00 pm and includes coffee. Wednesday night Bible Study is in the sanctuary and also begins at 6:00 pm and also youth services. Personal prayer services are on Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:00 pm. Of course, do not forget about Sunday morning services that start at 10:00, nursery provided and Sunday night services that start at 5:00 pm. Pastors Timmy and Pam Harris welcome everyone.

Goldonna Elementary Junior High School has many exciting events planned for the last few days of school.
May 18th 6th – 8th grade field trip
May 19th 8th Grade Graduation at 6:00pm in the auditorium
May 20th 3rd through 5th grade field trip
May the 20th 7-8th grade Prom.
May 23rd Field Day, Student vs Teacher Softball game
Kindergarten and 8th grade are encouraged to come back to school for Field Day
Tuesday, May 24th is the last day of school for students
