
Winn Parish Sheriff Josh McAllister has spotlighted an important asset to the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Chase Team.
This highly trained unit plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of not only the citizens of Winn Parish but also neighboring communities. With its expertise, the Chase Team has consistently demonstrated their ability to track individuals who have fled from law enforcement, escaped from detention facilities, or become lost or injured within the parish.
McAllister noted that the team’s proficiency extends beyond parish borders. The Winn Parish Chase Team has shared its expertise with surrounding parishes, providing reliable tracking services and garnering the admiration of other sheriff’s offices and police departments. Their results have made them a trusted resource in high-pressure situations.
“These dedicated individuals, along with their K-9 partners, are an invaluable asset to our community,” said McAllister. “Their tireless work and commitment to public safety have saved lives as well as helping ensure that those who attempt to evade law enforcement are brought to justice. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated team of professionals serving Winn Parish.”
The WPSO Chase Team consists of the following members: Josh Brister, Brandon Womack, Ryder Broomfield, Chad Chellette, James Chandler, Robert Davidson, Amos McHenry, Tanner Barton and Trampus Shelton Jr.
