The City of Winnfield Recreation Department has started taking registrations for its annual Youth Basketball League.  (Registration forms were sent home in student backpacks this week).  Registration will continue through Friday, December 20.

Registration fee is $40 per child for this exciting program open to both boys and girls, ages 4 through 15.  Parents are encouraged to register their children as soon as possible.

Tryouts will be held on December 21.  Watch the Winn Parish Journal for details.  Times will also be posted in the Winn Parish Enterprise and on KVCL Radio.

The Recreation Department notes that Coaches are needed for all age groups and asks that volunteers step up to become involved.  For details concerning WYBL, contact the Recreation Office at 628-0246.

The City of Winnfield encourages, “any positive support that anyone can give for our youth of today.  Remember, our children are our future.”

When the WYBL season gets under way, the community is invited to come out and participate, watch, support, cheer and support the children as they play.
