Lousiana Political Museum & Hall of Fame Invites All to Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Almost to the day (August 30th, 1993), nearly thirty years ago the Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame had its grand opening—originally outside and with bleachers borrowed from the recreation center to accommodate the attending crowd—on what would have been Huey P Long’s 100th birthday.

This Saturday, August 26th, from 5-8 pm, Winn Parish is invited to participate in the observance of shared community and state history, as well as the men and women who made it all possible.

The Pearl Anniversary Celebration will take place within the museum and will include light refreshments, live musical entertainment (‘Milita’ from Homer, LA), as well as the unveiling of the new Max Kelley display, and several anticipated guest speakers (including LA Stare Representative Jack McFarland).

Please RSVP (318-628-5928 or email lapolmusi@gmail.com) before Saturday to ensure refreshments and proper seating.
