Brigadier General D. Keith Waddell (Waddell), the Adjutant General for the State of Louisiana, paid a visit to Winn Parish on Friday, September 4, 2020.

General Waddell was greeted at Joyce Airport in Winnfield by Police Jury President Josh McAllister, Police Juror Kirk Miles, Representative Jack McFarland, and Army National Guard Commander Bratton.

Waddell was here to visit the POD site, view other Army National Guard operations in Winn Parish, and meet with public officials regarding the recovery efforts’ status.

“I think the partnership between our guys and the parish has been phenomenal. We are here to help the people of Winn Parish, and I feel like we have accomplished that mission. We wish the people of the parish all the best,” said Waddell.

U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham was also scheduled to arrive in Winn Parish but was grounded in Monroe due to issues with his plane and was not able to make the trip.
