“Great things are happening here at Calvin High School,” Principal Justin Tinsley told the Winn Parish School Board when given the opportunity to introduce students during the “School Spotlight” segment on the board’s agenda Monday night, March 4.
He told the members that 16 students have qualified for state FBLA competition. Another 11 recently qualified for national Beta competition at the Savannah, GA, convention. Additionally, there will be six going to the State Literary Rally. He also reported that both the girls and boys basketball teams have finished their seasons by winning their District 2-C championships.
He then introduced two students who explained art projects which will be part of the Beta arts and academics showings in Savannah.
