Village of Goldonna News Feb 8th

Monday, February 6th, was a special day for the Village of Goldonna. New School Board Member, Chad Fredieu, held a Town Hall for those wishing to meet the newly elected member for District 7. Accompanying Fredieu were Superintendent Dr. Grant Eloi, School Board President, Billy Benefield, neighboring School Board Member, Steven Harris and Finance Director, Lee Waskom and Mr. Mike Stewart. The entourage met with area residents and spoke about the progress that is continuously being made in the school district. Mr. Fredieu was very excited to greet the crowd and vowed to always be just a phone call away if he is needed.

According to Fredieu, this is the first of many visits with the residents.

Goldonna Elementary Junior High School wants you to dust off your dancing shoes and tune up the piano! The school is planning its First Annual Talent Show. It will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 6:00pm. If you have a special talent to showcase please reach out to Mrs. Carolyn Abels. The school will host a Mardi Gras Parade on Friday, February 17th from 1:00-2:00 in the afternoon. The Goldonna Lady Wildcats Softball team walked away with their first win of the season on Tuesday night, February 7th.

The school will be closed for Winter Break from February 20th until the 27th. Students will return to school on February 28th.

Goldonna Assembly of God will be have a guest speaker on February 12, 2023. Mr. Jacob Phillips was “Born without a Brain” and will be sharing his testimony at 10:00am. Pastor Harris invites everyone to come and be blessed.

The Village of Goldonna is not short on outstanding people who love their community and dedicate their lives to the wellbeing of their neighbors.
