Statewide Volunteer Opportunity

Louisiana Department of Health, Volunteers of America and Louisiana United Way have announced a new volunteer opportunity. 

They are looking for volunteer Runners to help Resource Coordinators STATEWIDE to assist in the continued care of COVID positive patients at home once they have been put in a 14 day quarantine by contact tracers. The goal of this position is to be available to pickup and deliver immediate needs, such as groceries and medication, to a COVID positive, quarantined individual at home. Runners are needed in all 64 parishes and all 9 Regions of the state. You must have a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to participate in the opportunity. Please note: all deliveries will be contactless.

Volunteers are needed ASAP. They currently require volunteer Runners in multiple parish areas in the state. This volunteer opportunity will run through December 2020 unless otherwise stated.
