A Winn Parish student is headed to national competition after securing a top finish in the 4-H state shooting sports contest.

Hallie Musgrove placed first in the state in the .22 pistol division. The victory qualifies Musgrove to represent Louisiana at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships, which will be held in June.
