Winnfield native Dewayne Mitchell, founder and owner of Buckshot Records LLC, has achieved a major national milestone. Mitchell and his independent label have been named an official top finalist for the 2026 Infiniti Music and Film Awards.
The annual awards celebration, which honors outstanding talent across independent country, gospel, hip-hop, pop, and rock sectors, will take place on October 7–8, 2026, at the iconic Troubadour in Nashville, Tennessee.

Founded on the principle of “Where sound meets success,” Buckshot Records LLC has grown under Mitchell’s direction into a premier destination for artist development, music production, and independent digital distribution across Louisiana and the surrounding region.
The recognition as a finalist for Music Label of the Year puts the Winnfield-born executive in the national spotlight alongside prominent independent record labels from around the country.
