Winn Parish School Board is committed to working to assist families with meals for school-aged students. With the extension of the Governor’s ‘Stay at Home’ mandate to April 30th, we have explored other means to provide meals to our students. Winn Parish School Board is partnering with Healthy School Food Collaborative, a new program that will deliver shelf-stable, easily prepared meals to your doorstep for free.
To qualify for this program, your children must be a registered student of Winn Parish School Board. Every week, Healthy School Food Collaborative will deliver free breakfasts and lunches for all children who have submitted an application and who are enrolled in Winn Parish Schools. To receive these shelf stable meals, you must register on the link provided on the Winn Parish School Board website. Registration closes Thursday, April 9, 2020, and meal deliveries will not begin until the week of April 13.
Meals will be delivered to the address that the registrant lists as the student’s physical address when registering. Parents should list all students in the household that they are requesting meals for. Meals will be delivered once a week.
Winn Parish School Board and our partner Healthy School Food Collaborative are pleased to be able to offer this valuable service to the students of our parish.
