The Louisiana Forest Festival kicks off this weekend at the Winn Parish Fairgrounds.

FRIDAY, APRIL 22

  • 4-H Achievement Day & Forestry Awareness: 9 am (Winn Parish Students Only)

  • Bear Hollow Carving Demonstrations:

    • 10 am

    • 12 pm

    • 2 pm

    • 4 pm

  • Food Trucks and Vendors: 5 pm

  • Ranch Sorting hosted by the Winn Western Riding Assc., Winn Parish Fairgrounds: 7 pm

  • Friday Night Kick-off, Winnfield Civic Center: 7 pm-12 am

    • Jackson McFarland, 7 pm

    • Mid-City Maven, 8 pm

    • Spencer Brunson, 10 pm

  • Fireworks provided by Pyromania Fireworks, 8:30 pm

     

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 23

  • Gates Open: 8 am

  • Hope4Winn Walk/Run: 9 am (registration at 8 am)

  • Bear Hollow Carving Demonstrations, “The Hill“:

    • 8 am

    • 10 am

    • 12 pm

    • 2 pm

  • LumberSports Competitions, “The Hill”: 9 am-until

    • 4-H Competitions: 9am-10:30am

    • Collegiate: TBA

    • Professional: TBA

  • Ranch Rodeo hosted by Winn Western Riding Assc., Winn Parish Fairgrounds: 3:00pm-until

    • Admission is $5, ages 12 and under are free.

    • Concessions available

    • Event list: goat chasing, stick horse racing, branding, trailer loading, and wild cow milking.

  • Bear Hollow Auction, “The Hill”: 4 pm

  • Crawfish Cook-off and Judging, Amphitheater: 4 pm

    *Concerts will be moved to the Winnfield Civic Center in the event of inclement weather.
