I am announcing my candidacy for the District 9 school board seat! I am blessed to have grown up in our Parish and now raise my family in this District. I have a genuine love and a vested interest in our school system. My wife, JoAnn, and I have two young children, Will and Jolie, which will grow and learn at Calvin High School.
I am a 1998 graduate of Winnfield Senior High School and a graduate of Louisiana Tech with a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and a M.S. in Environmental Biology. I am a Certified Forester and Certified Wildlife Biologist currently employed with Crest Natural Resources as the Vice President of Operations where I oversee the management of approximately 100,000 acres of timberland.
I will fight for our rural schools, students and educators that attend them. I will support efforts to retain teachers and improve education. It would be my privilege to be your voice on the board and to represent your interests to the best of my ability.
