Winn Parish 4-H will host a lunch plate fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 29, at the livestock barn located on the Winn Parish Fairgrounds. The event is being held in memory of Emma Claire Gill, a former student and active 4-H member who passed away in 2021.

Proceeds will fund a scholarship created in Gill’s name, helping support future 4-H members and students in their educational pursuits. Organizers said the fundraiser allows the community to honor her life while investing in the next generation.

Plates will include barbecue chicken, green beans, potato salad and dessert. Preorders are encouraged and can be made by contacting the 4-H office at 318-628-4528.
