Signup for Library’s Summer ‘Color Our World’ Opens Tomorrow

Participants combine fun and learning during the library’s summer programs.

Winn Parish Library has announced that registration for its Summer Reading Program with the theme “Color Our World” will open tomorrow, May 1, and extend all the way through July 11.

Open to all ages at all branches (Winnfield, Atlanta, Calvin, Dodson and Sikes), the summer Reading Program will feature various rewards at all age levels.  Those age brackets will be up to age 11, up to age 12, ages 13-17 and ages 18 and older.  

Participants are encourages to register at any branch or online then track their reading progress “one color at a time.”  All books need to be checked out from a Winn Parish Library branch.  Every 15 minutes of reading allows a mark on the reading log.  July 11 is the final day to turn in summer reading logs to be eligible for a Grand Prize drawing.

Summer fun will also get underway during the month of June with returning favorites like Cowboy Bob and Harvey Rabbit as well as great programs from regulars Shannan, Pedro and Nathan Roberts.  Be sure to check the library website for details.
