Lakeside Baptist Slates Vacation Bible School June 17-21

“It’s almost that time of year again!” said Pastor Mitchell Miles as he announced upcoming activities at Lakeside Baptist Church prepares for its summertime Vacation Bible School.

“Are you looking for a way for your children or grandchildren to grow in faith and learn to stand in today’s battle for truth? Join us at Lakeside Baptist for a fun-filled, faith-based, truth-learning five-day VBS on June 17-21 at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.,” he said.

 VBS is being offered to children ages 3-12. A snack will be provided for all children at 7 p.m. Commencement will be on Sunday, June 23, at 6 p.m. when families will have the opportunity to witness what the children have learned. A meal will be provided after that service. Everyone is welcome. 

“Standing strong in today’s battle for truth is important,” the pastor concludes.  “Mark your calendar.  Your children will not want to miss the excitement.”

Bake Sale Announced to Bolster Winn’s WMU Mission

The ladies involved with Winn WMU Women on Mission hope to embolden that mission through the proceeds of a Bake Sale they will be holding in downtown Winnfield in the midst of the DugFest on Main Street this Saturday, June 8.

The sale will be set up on the steps of First Baptist Church old sanctuary on Main Street from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with involvement by WMU members from churches across the parish.

“Come shop a variety of goodies and kitchen crafts,” they say.  Will it be excellent?  These are church ladies, after all…need we say more?
