Johnnie & Larrie Brister celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this month. Johnnie and Larrie met while in the Navy stationed in Corpus Christi, TX. They fell in love and married on November 2, 1973.
After marrying the couple decided to make their home in Winnfield, LA. Johnny is the owner and operator of American Discount Furniture and the Big Easy Drive Thru, both in Winnfield. Larrie dedicated over 30 years as an RN at Winn Parish Medical Center and is now retired.
The couple have two sons, Joshua (wife Tory) and Michael (wife Jessica). They also have five grandchildren that are their pride and joy; Hayden, Ryland, Logan, Cedar, and Autumn.
