District Attorney Chris Nevils reports the following action was taken in Eighth Judicial District Court on January 12, 2021

DEMORRIS R. ABRAHAM: Defendant entered guilty plea possession of marijuana. Imposition sentence suspended, defendant placed on two years unsupervised probation. Defendant ordered to pay fine and probation fee.

SHAREE NICOLE ACOSTA: Defendant entered guilty plea battery of emergency personnel, emergency service personnel or a healthcare professional. Defendant sentenced to serve sixty days with credit for time served.

CHRISTOPHER KYLE ANGLIN: Defendant entered guilty plea DWI 1st offense. Imposition sentence suspended, defendant placed on twenty-four months supervised probation. Defendant ordered to pay fine, court cost and probation fee. Defendant ordered to perform sixteen hours community service and satisfactorily complete court approved drug and substance abuse and driver improvement program.

CARL A HUTCHINS: Defendant entered guilty plea theft under $1,000.00. Ninety days sentence deferred, defendant placed on two years unsupervised probation. Defendant ordered to pay fine, probation fee and restitution.

JAMES BENJAMIN HANSON: Defendant entered guilty plea angling with a license. Imposition sentence suspended, defendant placed on two years unsupervised probation. Defendant ordered to pay fine and probation fee.

GREGORY S. HARRIS: Defendant entered guilty plea entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden, stalking, entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden and simple assault. Sentence of the court is as follows: the first entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden defendant sentenced to serve six months concurrent along with any other sentence, suspend two months with credit for four months. The remaining charges defendant sentenced to serve one year credit for time served, run concurrent with any sentence, suspend eight months with those eight months be served in rehab facility.

TIMOTHY JAMES HESTER: Defendant entered guilty plea criminal mischief. Defendant ordered to pay fine, probation fee and restitution and placed on two years unsupervised probation.

LACEY LINN ALLEN: Defendant entered guilty plea possession of methamphetamine. Defendant sentenced to served eighteen months at hard labor with credit for time served.

TRISHA SUZANNE DAVIS: Defendant entered guilty plea disturbing the peace. Defendant sentenced to credit for time served and ordered to pay fine.
