
Goldonna Police Chief Joe Hines submitted his letter of resignation to town leaders, according to Mayor Jennifer Smith. Hines is charged with one felony count of cruelty to a juvenile. Coming up at 4:00 P.M., learn the next steps before the town can appoint a new police chief.
Once the letter is submitted to the Secretary of State’s Office, the town has 20 days to appoint an interim police chief. Town leaders will then set a date for a special election to be held in March.
